Chess Workshops at Your School

Are you a parent, teacher, or school administrator connected to a primary or secondary school for children and young people aged 5 to 16? Do you currently offer after-school activities, or are you looking to introduce them?

If so, we would be delighted to introduce you to our chess workshops.

We provide chess activities for a single day, multiple days, or even throughout the entire school year. Together with your school, we create an educational, challenging, and enjoyable activity for children and teenagers.

What Do We Offer?

Our workshops and lessons cater to all skill levels, from complete beginners to more advanced young players. Topics may include:

• The basic rules of chess
• Strategy and tactics
• Openings
• Middlegame play
• Endgame techniques
• Tricks and traps
• Game analysis

During our lessons, we make use of various teaching tools, such as:

• PowerPoint presentations
• Educational videos
• Workbooks
• Digital learning materials
• Online homework and practicing 

Furthermore, we tailor the content of our workshops as much as possible to the interests and learning goals of both participants and parents.

What Do We Ask from the School?

We only require:

• A suitable classroom or teaching space
• Support in promoting the activity to parents and students

We take care of the organisation and communication surrounding the workshops.

Why Is There a Participation Fee?

Developing, preparing, and delivering high-quality chess lessons requires time, effort, and resources. The Chess Club currently receives no structural funding and finances its activities through a loan provided by a committed club member.

The income generated from lessons and workshops is used entirely to:

• Develop and purchase educational materials
• Cover organisational expenses
• Strengthen the club's financial position
• Gradually repay the loan

It is important to note that volunteers and instructors do not receive any personal income from these activities. All contributions from parents are reinvested in the association and its objectives.
